Attachment disorders usually happen when children don’t form secure bonds with their caregivers. This can be due to neglect, abuse, inconsistent caregiving, or early separation from parents. As a result, they may struggle to trust others and form healthy relationships later in life. There are two main types: Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) and Disinhibited Social Engagement Disorder (DSED), each with its own set of behaviors. Without treatment, these issues can seriously affect mental health.
